The first Chief Election Commissioner of India was mr.Sukumar Seen.

He joined the Indian Civil Services in 1921.

Mr.Sukumar Sen was asked to superwise the first election in Independent Sudan  in 1953.

He attended Presidency College and London University and won gold medal in mathematics.
